Crafted originally for a trade show, this front door is unlike anything you’ll find in stores. Made from sustainably sourced old-growth windfall hemlock from Nootka Sound, it bridges the gap between rugged durability and refined craftsmanship.
 
Hemlock isn’t your typical door material—but that’s exactly the point. It’s a domestic species usually used in construction, but we saw the potential for something greater. This piece is built with solid through mortise and tenon joinery, wire-brushed for extra texture and toughness, and finished with a hand-carved adze texture in the infill panels for a look that’s both rustic and refined.
 
Every detail has been handcrafted right here in Duncan, BC.
