Warranty

 The Nature of Wood

We strive every day to produce one of a kind products that will last for generations. Wood, whether it has been cut into slabs, milled into strips, or carved into a bowl incorporates all the natural features of the wood including cracks, voids, pockets of bark, and knots. Our vision is to include and showcase these natural aspects of the wood, preserving the 'soul' of the tree right in your home.

Pacifica Woodwork and Design selects only the highest quality kiln or air dried wood, we incorporate stabilization and design measures into our products to allow for wood movement while keeping it as flat as possible. 

​

Despite our best efforts, wood has a nature all to itself, wood can and will expand and contract in varying ways as the sunlight, temperature, and relative humidity vary beyond our control.

Kitchen Accessory Warranty

Term of Warranty

This warranty is good for 6 months from date of purchase (final invoice). Please keep your original receipt of purchase, as it will be your proof of warranty. Warranty is non transferable.

​

What is covered

Defective materials and workmanship in Pacifica Woodwork and Design manufactured products when they are used and cared for as intended. Please see our “care instructions” section of our website for more details.​

​

What is not covered​

  • Natural movements of the wood:

  • Wood warpage up to 5% of the width;

  • Surface cracks up to 3.0mm;

  • Deflection of resin fills above or below the surrounding wood level up to 3.0mm;

  • Damage caused by abuse or misuse.

  • Any wood components used outside or subjected to humidity outside the optimal range.

  • Shipping damage.

  • Any work or damage by a 3rd party.

  • Any refinishing or alteration of product.

Do not dishwash or soak in water! 

Wood damage is most often caused by changes in humidity or exposure to excessive moisture. Keep your kitchen accessories in a room with a humidity between 35-50%. Dish washing or soaking your kitchen accessory with void your warranty.

Making a Warranty Claim

Please contact us by phone or email to discuss you problem.

​If the problem is covered by our warranty, Pacifica Woodwork and Design, at their sole discretion will repair or replace the product either in situ or at our workshop.

​If the product needs to be sent back to the workshop, would will be responsible for packaging and shipping to our workshop. Pacifica Woodwork and Design will cover the return costs of the repaired or replaced product back to you.

Furniture and Millwork Warranty

Term of Warranty

This warranty is good for twelve (12) months for furniture and six (6) months for custom millwork. Please note this warranty starts from date of completion, storage or delayed delivery are included in the warranty time. Please keep your original receipt of purchase, as it will be your proof of warranty. Warranty is non transferable.

What is not covered

CONTROL YOUR HUMIDITY!

Wood movement is most often associated with changes in humidity or excessive humidity. Try to keep relative humidity in the area of your furniture/millwork between 35% and 50%. Storage, transportation or use outside this range for more than 48 hours will void this warranty. Please note any unpaid invoices will void warranty on all products provided.
